For this assignment we had to take 3 photos in the studio with no shadows and 3 other out of studio portraits with good lighting. I think this assignment was fun because it gave us experience with false lighting and a studio setting rather then a less planned place where we take most of our photos. I think lighting is very important in photos especially for peoples faces!

For this assignment we had to duplicate a magazine ad from a magazine and take 3-4 of our own photos to put in our duplicates. I took 3 different photos. For this assignment I did a Dasani water and a Cheez-It ad. It was fun trying to replicate someone elses idea and using tools like the layer masks, selection tools, and paint brush and bucket as well as adjusting the opacity and gradient of the background.
This week we had another photo assignment so I decided to take some photos that I didn't end up using from other photo weeks and desaturate them. I like how the black and white really simplifies the photos. I am personally a fan of black and white photography so this week was very pleasing.
I thought this assignment was going to be difficult because we had to photograph other people in their natural environments, but it was actually quite enjoyable. I photographed Emma at dance to show that she basically lives at dance, she is there so much and I photographed Adeline enjoying the hand sanitizer selection because she is constantly using hand sanitizer. I really like the depth of field in the photos as well.
This week we had to take self portraits of us with things we like to do, I took photos of me eating, my dance outfit, me doing makeup, and a fashion photo. I am proud of my self portraits and it was fun trying some new things out. My favorite is my dance picture because it has the best lighting.
For photo 7 I went to gallup park to get some nature shots even in winter. The park offered many opportunities even though everything was frozen over or dead it actually made things look pretty cool. I love the depth of field and I used portrait mode this week.
This week we got to choose 3 tutorials of our own that we wanted to do instead of being assigned one. This was pretty torturous because I tried a lot of tutorials and messed them up because they didn't show the layers but it turned out okay I guess.
For collages we had to mesh together pictures of flowers, an about me collage and a me in 10 years. I liked using the gradient tool for this it was a fun way to use some new skills and it was personalized.
This week we chose another category to photograph and I went out with my friends this weekend and went to shake shack so I thought I would choose food. This week was pretty simple but I liked playing with different angles and setting up the food to look nice. I had pretty good lighting so it wasn't difficult to use the camera.
This weekend I wanted to photograph architecture because I knew I was visiting downtown Detroit. This weekend I had lots of fun with taking photos near my hotel, I think they all turned out really well and I definitely had to change the settings constantly because of the lighting changing.
