For Photo 2 we chose from composition categories that we didn't already use from last week and focused on photographing this subject. I choose animal and I focused specifically on my cat, Maverick! During the process of taking these photos I learned that my cat is pretty photogenic. I edited my best photo slightly to make the image a little bit brighter. I also played with lighting, angles, and props like a curtain. It was surprisingly easy to get my cat to stay still so I didn't have very many blurry photos. Overall, I feel like this week was a success.

For this assignment we had to take a photo of ourselves and learn how to add color to the images in photoshop. I learned how to use colorize in photoshop. This might be useful later on if I want to transform a normal photo into just color outlines. I enjoyed this assignment after I got the hang of it from my first photo, the second pop art photo was easier.
This week I will photograph animals. Specifically my cat. I want to photograph both of my cat's personalities and actions. I hope to get better at getting clear motion shots using a higher shutter speed. Most of these photos incorporate depth of field and different lighting techniques I could try. They also demonstrate several unique perspectives!
For this assignment we were instructed to choose a category like, people, food, event etc. and capture a moment using our cameras, I choose people as my category. After completing the assignment, I have learned about different angles and how to get natural and genuine poses. It was sometimes hard to get people to give me a serious or natural look because they posed as they would for their own selfies (obviously not what I was looking to capture). But overall I got some good candid shots that I am proud of
For my first photo shooting assignment I have chosen to focus on the People Category. I am hoping to get better at capturing emotion and playing with portrait mode to get good photos with depth of field. Here are some examples I found online that I might try and recreate Some of these photos don't demonstrate the best photography but they mostly give me ideas for different posing and angles that I could use. I plan to take photos of my homecoming group taking photos and getting ready and will focus on making their personality shine through.
A faster shutter speed focus' the image and creates a in a darker exposure.
A slow shutter speed blurs the motion, and gives the photo a lighter exposure A large aperture results in a a small depth of field and a lighter exposure. A small aperture results in a large depth of field and a darker exposure. I enjoyed this assignment because when we started it I wasn't very confident with a camera or on how to use bridge and upload photos. By the end of it I now know have a pretty good understanding of what makes a good digital photo and how to take it. It was fairly easy for me to recognize each category though because we had a similar multimedia assignment in middle school
My Name is Julia and i've taken some photos. Some of them I'm very proud of while others I cringe that I ever thought it was good. In my free time I love to take photos, compete at dance competitions and watch Netflix. Another Hobby of mine is traveling, this obviously allows for some pretty good photo taking :) I choose to take digital photography because I have previously taken Multimedia 1&2 at the middle school, and i'm not gonna lie, I needed a credit! I hope to learn a little more about photography and get some cool shots this year.
